Jane’s Due Process believes that Texas teens should have access to the full spectrum of pregnancy options despite barriers. Our Empowering Young Parents program provides Texas teens under the age of 18 with emotional, informational, and financial support when choosing to continue a pregnancy and become a parent. Texas teens who are currently pregnant and planning to continue the pregnancy or who are parenting a young child under the age of 1 can call or text us and receive:
- Virtual doula support: A JDP team member will provide you with information and emotional support around pregnancy, birth, and the first year of parenting.
- Empowering Young Parents: A Parenting Guide for Texas Baddies: This workbook full of parenting information and tools for the first year of parenting will be sent to you.
- A stipend: We know that funding can make a big difference for a young parent, which is why our support for young parents includes a stipend of $500.
- A financial literacy guide and budget tracker: These tools will help you as you navigate the household expenses that come with parenting.
