Deputy Director

Job Announcement: Deputy Director

Jane’s Due Process (JDP) is seeking a Deputy Director to support our staff and lead the organization’s daily operations. JDP helps young people in Texas navigate parental consent laws and abortion bans to confidentially access abortion and birth control.

The Deputy Director will directly manage two staff members, with potential for increased supervision as the organization grows. This role includes oversight of human resources and operations: ensuring implementation of personnel policies and procedures, and managing core financial and administrative operations in close collaboration with the Executive Director and External Affairs Director.

The Deputy Director will also lead key communications efforts, including messaging strategy, website redesign, media relations, and overseeing graphic collateral. This role involves working closely with internal staff, consultants, designers, and external vendors to support organizational communications and branding.

This is a benefits-eligible full-time position with a 32-hour work week. JDP supports flexible work hours and comp time. Occasional travel is required, with some events necessitating mandatory attendance during evenings and weekends. Applicants must reside in, or be willing to relocate to, Texas (no exceptions). The Deputy Director reports directly to the Executive Director.
