A few years ago, the city of Houston declared April 27th Jane’s Due Process Day! We so appreciate Houston honoring our work to make abortion and birth control more accessible to young people, and while we’re all socially distancing at home, here are some ways you can celebrate with us:
- Hop on Instagram at 12 noon CST tomorrow, April 28th, and watch our executive director Rosann Mariappuram talking about what we’re up to and the impacts of Texas’s recent abortion bans during COVID-19. Our handle is @janesdueprocess!
- Sponsor our Spring Celebration virtual fundraiser happening this Wednesday, April 29th! We’ll be having some fun on Zoom from 6:30 to 7:30, so don’t miss it — plus your sponsorship helps us continue to support Texas teens exercising their reproductive rights!
- Sign up for our Public Testimony 101 training happening this Thursday, April 30th. Learn more about how to influence public policy in Texas as we gear up to fight to change the State Board of Education’s sex ed curriculum and fight for the end to parental consent laws regarding abortion and birth control in Texas.
- Make a gift of any size to Jane’s Due Process to make this work possible.
And ICYMI — last week abortion providers were allowed to fully reopen and resume services in Texas! Just another reason to celebrate together today. Happy Jane’s Due Process Day, everyone!
