We are delighted to welcome Krithi Srinivasan, our newest board member. Krithi, a Dallas native, is an MPH and MD candidate at UT San Antonio, where she is an active member of Medical Students for Choice. She is currently working on issues of teen pregnancy in the Rio Grande Valley, recognizing the economic and socio-cultural barriers that this complex and diverse population faces when accessing comprehensive reproductive health services.
As a medical student and a future OB/Gyn, it is very important to me that I can provide the full spectrum of services and appropriate health care to my patients. It is doubly important for patients to have the right to make their own well-informed health care decisions. JDP empowers women to acquire knowledge and pursue the appropriate legal venue to retain autonomy over their own bodies. Being a part of that mission is inspiring and humbling.
