Legal Intern

2022 Summer Legal Intern

Legal interns engage in legal research and writing on youth reproductive rights, including birth control and abortion access.  They will provide legal referrals and information to teens on our phone and text hotlines. Interns will assist staff in advocacy and policy work on the local and state level and gain experience working in coalitions working to advance reproductive rights and justice.

This is a full-time, 10-week internship expected to run from June – August. Adjustments can be made based on students’ academic schedules. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this internship is anticipated to be fully remote.

A stipend of $5,000 will be provided for students who are unable to secure outside funding. Jane’s Due Process will also provide any tech needs to facilitate remote work.

Qualifications:

  • Current law student
  • Commitment to reproductive health, rights and justice and racial justice
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
